Mosquito
Anti-mosquito (tissues + skin)
Solar cream Sheets / Sleeping bag and pillows
Laptop
Pharmacy kit: anti-palu medicine, doliprane, your usual medications, disinfectant, bandages, ask your doctor to prescribe anti-diarrheal drugs, Biafine.
A secret pouch to wear under clothing (to easily carry money, phone and ID), can be found in sports shops.
A small backpack (if you go on weekends, or even to go to work)
A photocopy of the passport and Visa to avoid losing the original.
A K-way for the rainy season For those who go to a village, a large backpack is recommended (better than a suitcase!) And a flashlight because in some villages they do not have electricity.
Once there - The Arrival,
Do not forget to have your vaccination book with yellow fever vaccine certification, you may be asked during your visit to the customs. Upon arrival at the airport a member of the association will pick you up. If there is a problem, contact on mobile phone at (+228)91752588
On-the-spot procedures,
Registration at the consulate.
A member of the association will accompany you to the consulate to register. Do not forget his passport and a photocopy of it. In addition, if you are French you can register on Ariane (on the website diplomatie.gouv.fr) to receive alerts about the country, but this does not replace the registration to the consulate.
Phone
It is not advisable to walk around with abranded phone (iPhone, Black-Berry, ...) so if you have an old phone in working condition unlocked you can bring it back so you will not buy one on the spot. If not, you can easily find one at a low price. For the SIM card, there is simply need for a photocopy of the ID that allows you to register.
